Volunteers play an important role at Crownsavers. It’s a win-win situation whereby you’ll gain experience to advance your career and we’ll benefit from your skills and enthusiasm. It’s a great way for you to do something that’s of benefit to you and your community.

What will I get out of it?
Although volunteering with us is unpaid, we’ll give you out-of-pocket expenses and you’ll gain a huge amount from your time with us. We’ll provide:
What will I be doing?
You’ll get involved in things like assisting member recruitment, helping with mailings and marketing, looking after the database and supporting financial literacy and education.
How much time do I need to commit?
At least 4 hours a week. The more time you can offer us, the more interesting tasks you’ll be able to get involved in.
What skills do I need?
It’s helpful if you’re a friendly and outgoing person with skills or experience in an office environment. But even if you lack these skills, as long as you have enthusiasm and an interest in helping out at a dynamic and rapidly growing financial co-operative business, we’re interested in hearing from you. Everyone has something to offer the credit union. You don't need to be a financial expert or a whizz on a computer. Get in touch and we’ll work out how you can help.
I don't know anything about credit unions
Don't worry, you can learn. We’ll take you through an induction process and you’ll quickly pick things up! You can find out more about us and what credit unions are all about on the About Us section of this website.
Where will I be based?
You’ll primarily work from our office on 20 Catford Broadway in Catford

Join the Crownsavers Board as a director
Do you have the enthusiasm and skills to make a real difference to the Lewisham community?
We’re looking for a diverse range of people and skills to help develop and grow the credit union.
The Crownsavers board of directors plays a vital role in providing leadership and direction to the organisation. It acts as the governing body that makes the policy decisions.
Credit union directors have to be members and are elected by the membership. They are not paid, but expenses are covered.
